A prayer of praise and thanksgiving

Lord Jesus, we thank you for your honesty.
You did not say there would be no more wars.
Lord Jesus, we thank you for your realism.
You did not promise a perfect world in this age.
We praise you for your example to us.
You showed us how to endure.
We praise you for the hope you hold out to us.
You promise that death is not the end.
Praise be to Jesus!
