Information about the printing and packaging materials used for ROOTS magazines.

NEW!

From the January 2020 issue onwards, ROOTS magazines will be delivered in 100% COMPOSTABLE wrapping made from potato starch. Please dispose of this film in one of the following ways:

  1. Add to your home compost heap.
  2. Discard into your garden waste bin.
  3. Use to line your food waste caddy (providing there are no holes!)
  4. Put in your general waste if the options above are not available.

Please do not put it in the plastic recycling.

We are very grateful to our distribution suppliers, Hymns Ancient & Modern Ltd, for assisting us in researching and implementing this development.

 

Printing

ROOTS magazines are printed on woodforce stock using vegetable-based inks on FSC®-certified paper.

Our printers, Stephens & George, have the following certificates:

 

Packaging

The packaging board is 100% recyclable, 100% biodegradable and made from 90% recycled or recovered paper.
