Prepare the space

Make a display of images of animals that hang onto trees or rocks (e.g. various primates, koalas, a tree snake, sea anemones, coral). Print out the names separately and encourage children and their parents, as they arrive, to match the names with the images, and to talk about how each animal or creature ‘hangs on’.
