A prayer of confession for children

When we prefer to look after ourselves
rather than other people,
Lord, forgive us and help us.
When we look away from the problems
that we see other people struggling with,
Lord, forgive us and help us.
When we give up on something hard,
because it is easier than trying to understand it,
Lord, forgive us and help us.
Amen.
