Lenten journey

Weekly activity that creates a road of tears to Jerusalem and then transforms into flowers of joy on Easter Day

To help children follow Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem, we offer a simple worship activity for each week in Lent. Teardrops are decorated with symbols to form a road of tears, which are transformed into flowers of joy on Easter Day.

You can use this journey as a church group, in a school, or at home as a family. Each week, you can:

  • read a Bible reading
  • think quietly about the reading, or discuss it together
  • complete a teardrop craft activity that reflects an aspect of the passage
  • say a prayer together.
