This Easter, find yourself strutting like a cockerel, buzzing like a bee, and frolicking like a lamb as you discover all about Easter in this fun, animal-filled trail.
Invite your local school and/or community to join you on the Easter Trail, designed to help families engage with the Easter story. The trail consists of nine posters, these can be located around your church, in your grounds or your local area. You could seek permission to use a local park or locate the posters in shop windows around town. You may want to provide a map detailing the locations. The posters should be visited in order, for the Easter story to be heard in sequence.
Participants must collect the letters from the nine posters as they make their way along the trail, these spell out a secret message on their trail activity sheet. Provide prizes (perhaps a chocolate Easter Egg or non-chocolate alternative – consider common dietary needs for any edible prizes) for all those who find the hidden message (go and tell), and encourage them to come back to your starting point to claim their prize.
