May/June issue highlights from Pam
A warm welcome to our May/June issue! In our weekly materials drawing on passages from 1 Peter and Matthew’s Gospel, children and young people are encouraged to live out and share their faith.
The Pentecost session on 24 May focuses on the gifts of the Spirit. Additional new materials for Pentecost include an intercultural and intergenerational resource about the start of the Early Church, plus a drama ‘God’s gifts’.
The first disciples met in homes, but what’s the position for those who wish to offer youth group sessions in private dwellings with current safeguarding concerns? Dr Sam Richards tackles this in her article Can youth groups meet in homes?
We hope you’ll be able to access outdoor community or church space to run our brand-new Messy Family Fun Run. Designed to appeal to young families in your community, the event provides a chance for churches to establish new relationships with the local community, and to share ways for participants to get involved in all that church has to offer. For more ideas on sharing faith, see our outreach series.
We pray that all of the resources in this issue and throughout our extensive archive online will be a blessing to you, your church and the wider community,
