How do I get a password and where
do I find it?
A username and password are printed
in each copy of the magazine, and these details allow
you to access and read all the material on the web site until
the end of the magazine's cover date period. However, you
will not be able to post messages to the subscribers' discussion
forums using this password.
If you subscribe to one or both magazines, you will be sent
an individual username and password that will give you access
to the site for the duration of your subscription, and which
will also allow you to post messages in the discussion forums.
You will find the username and password printed on the confirmation
letter or invoice that you receive with or around the same
time as your first magazine, or your subscription renewal.
The details are normally printed near your subscription reference
number. You should keep this letter safe, so that you can
refer to it if you forget your username and password.
At present we do not provide web-only subscriptions.

I'm not a ROOTS subscriber,
but I do have a copy of the latest ROOTS magazine -
where do I find the password?
A username and password are printed in every copy of the ROOTS
magazines, allowing you access to the site for
the cover period of that issue of the magazine. Using these
passwords, you will be able to read all of the content on
the site, but will not be able to post messages on the forums,
as these are for subscribers only.
The password details are printed on one of the pages just
inside the front cover, as shown in the examples below:

I'm a subscriber but I have forgotten
my password, or I have never been sent it. What should I do?
If you still have the letter or invoice that was sent to
you with your first magazine, or when you last renewed, please
check it. The user name and password will be printed on it.
If you cannot find the letter, or if the details on it prove
to be out of date when you try to access the site using them,
please contact
or phone 0845 680 5317 to speak to our subscriptions management
team (Monday to Friday, office hours only). They will be able
to find your password for you, but you will need to tell them
the name and address to which your magazine is sent. If you
are also able to find your reference or 'RR' number - printed
on the original invoice/letter and beginning with 'RR' - this
will help our team to respond quickly to your request.
In the meantime, remember that you can also use the
password printed inside the magazine
to enable you to access the site in the short-term, although
you won't be able to post messages to the forums as they are
for subscribers only.

Why do I need a password?
www.rootsontheweb.com is only available to subscribers and
readers of the two ROOTS for Churches magazines, ROOTS Worship
(ROOTS Adult & All Age from September 2008)
and ROOTS
Children and Young People. The resources available
on the web site complement the magazines and are not intended
to be used in isolation from them. Some, but not all, of the
text that has appeared in the magazines is given, together
with additional web-only resources. All the material has been
sourced or commissioned by ROOTS for Churches, and is provided
as a special service to our readers. The operation of the
web site is only possible because it is funded by the sale
of the magazines. For all these reasons, we need to limit
access to the web site to those people who have subscribed
to or purchased the magazines.
