Password problems and the login process

No password?

• How do I get a password and where do I find it?
• I'm not a ROOTS subscriber, but I do have a copy of the latest ROOTS magazine - where do I find the password?
• I'm a ROOTS subscriber but I have forgotten my password, or I have never been sent it. What should I do?
• Why do I need a password?

Password not working?

• You see an error message reading 'Login failed! The username and password combination you entered has not been recognised...'
• You see an error message reading 'Important Message. Sorry your membership has expired...'
• The login page just refreshes, with no error message, as if you had not entered your details; or you see 'Return to members area' where the login form should be, even though you have not yet logged in.
• The screen goes blank and/or you get an error message telling you that the page cannot be found or the site cannot be contacted.
• Why doesn't my password let me use the forums?

No log-in form?

• There's nowhere for me to input my username and password!
