How do I get a password and where
do I find it?
A username and password are printed
in each copy of the magazine, and these details allow
you to access and read all the material on the web site until
the end of the magazine's cover date period. However, you
will not be able to post messages to the subscribers' discussion
forums using this password.
If you subscribe to one or both magazines, you will be sent
an individual username and password that will give you access
to the site for the duration of your subscription, and will
continue when you renew. This username/password will allow you to post messages in the discussion forums.
You will find the username and password printed on the confirmation
letter or invoice that you receive with or around the same
time as your first magazine, or your subscription renewal.
The details are normally printed near your subscription reference
number. You should keep this letter safe, so that you can
refer to it if you forget your username and password.

I'm not a ROOTS subscriber,
but I do have a copy of the latest ROOTS magazine – where do I find the password?
A username and password are printed in every copy of the ROOTS
magazines, allowing you access to the website until the end of
the cover period of that issue of the magazine. Using these
passwords, you will be able to access content that is
relevant to the type of magazine in which the password
information is printed (AAA or CYP). The password details are printed on
page 1 of each magazine, under the Contents list.
You won't be able to post messages to the Forum as this
facility is
for subscribers only.

I'm a subscriber but I have forgotten
my password, or I have never been sent it. What should I do?
If you still have the letter or invoice that was sent to
you with your first magazine, or when you last renewed, please
check it. The user name and password will be printed on it.
If you cannot find the letter, or if the details on it prove
to be out of date when you try to access the site using them,
please contact
or phone 0845 680 5317 to speak to our subscriptions management
team (Monday to Friday, office hours). They will be able
to find your password for you, but you will need to tell them
the name and address to which your magazine is sent. If you
are also able to find your reference or 'RR' number – printed
on the original invoice/letter and beginning with 'RR' - this
will help our team to respond quickly to your request.
In the meantime, remember that you can also use the password printed inside the magazine
to enable you to access the site in the short-term, although
you won't be able to post messages to the forums as they are
for subscribers only.

Why do I need a password?
www.rootsontheweb.com is only available to subscribers and
readers of the two ROOTS for Churches magazines, ROOTS
Adult & All Age and ROOTS
Children & Young People. The resources available
on the website complement the magazines and are not
primarily intended
to be used in isolation from them. Some, but not all, of the
text that has appeared in the magazines is given, together
with additional web-only resources. All the material has been
sourced or commissioned by ROOTS for Churches, and is provided
as a special service to our readers. The operation of the
web site is only possible because it is funded by the sale
of the magazines. For all these reasons, we need to limit
access to the website to those people who have subscribed
to or purchased the magazines.
The content you will see on the website reflects your
subscription. Subscribers to CYP magazine will only see
the content originated for them; subscribers to AAA
magazine likewise will see the AAA content on the
website. Combined subscriptions allow all the content to be
viewed.
