About ROOTS

ROOTS publishes two ecumenical, bimonthly, lectionary-based magazines: ROOTS Adult & All Age and ROOTS Children & Young People.
ROOTS resources are for churches from all denominations and traditions, designed to support the worship and learning of the whole church community.
www.rootsontheweb.com supports the magazines, and includes supplementary material and downloadable resources.
ROOTS resources offer you stimulating ideas for worship preparation. Would you like help in planning worship? ROOTS Adult & All Age is for those who lead services for adults or all ages together. Do you need materials for leading a children's or youth group? ROOTS Children & Young People is for those who work with groups of children and young people aged between the ages of 3 and 16. ROOTS offers a unique and comprehensive resource package to support worship and learning for the whole church.
ROOTS is based on The Revised Common Lectionary: taking the RCL as its starting point, ROOTS provides materials for each Sunday of the lectionary year and offers alternative resources on the website for significant weeks where the Church of England's Common Worship Lectionary differs from the RCL.
ROOTS is a joint Churches initiative, and is supported by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland together with representatives from Churches and church publishers. ROOTS for Churches Ltd is a charitable company.
ROOTS materials are written by experienced ordained and lay practitioners from all denominations and traditions, and are flexible and easily adapted to suit a wide range of patterns and styles of worship and learning.
